Most people add Khajjiar — the Himachal–Khajjiar Mini Switzerland package (4D/3N) is our most-booked. If you want somewhere quieter, the Chamera Lake Boating & Picnic package (3D/2N) is the calm alternative. Travelling with kids or parents, the Himachal Family Getaway (4D/3N) is paced around comfort. Khajjiar is included in most of our packages and yes — it is worth it. It sits about 22 km from Himachal, roughly an hour by road through deodar forest, and the meadow itself is a wide green saucer ringed by pine with a small lake at its centre. The “Mini Switzerland” name came from a Swiss diplomat in the 1990s and the marker stone is still there. Go early: by late morning in season it fills with day-trippers, horse rides and zorbing stalls, and the quiet is what makes it. There is no trekking involved — it is a flat walk suitable for all ages. In deep winter the road can close briefly after heavy snow, in which case we substitute an alternative and tell you in advance.

Himachal is reached by road from Pathankot, which is the nearest railhead at about 80 km — roughly 3 hours through the hills. Pathankot is well connected by train to Delhi, Amritsar and Jammu. The nearest airport is Pathankot (IXP) with limited flights; most people fly to Amritsar (ATQ) or Chandigarh and drive up, around 4 and 6 hours respectively. By road from Delhi it is roughly 10–11 hours, so overnight travel is common. Pickup is included in every package, along with a private vehicle and driver for the whole trip. Himachal is spread across five hills and the Mall Road area is partly pedestrian, so vehicles drop close by and it is a short walk to most hotels — we pick stays with that in mind.

March to June is the main season — pleasant days, clear views across the Dhauladhar and Khajjiar's meadow at its greenest. This is also the busiest window, so book early. July and August bring the monsoon: the valley is lush and rates drop, but landslides can slow the Pathankot road and views are often clouded. September to November is our own favourite — washed-clean air, sharp mountain views and thin crowds. December to February is cold and quiet with snowfall in Himachal and Khajjiar, which is genuinely beautiful, though the Khajjiar road can close briefly after heavy snow and some higher points become inaccessible. Every package includes your hotel stay in Himachal, breakfast and dinner, a private vehicle with driver for the full trip, pickup and drop from Pathankot, and all sightseeing listed in the itinerary. Khajjiar and Chamera Lake excursions are included where the package covers them. Flights, trains and buses to Pathankot are not included, and neither are lunches, personal expenses, activities like horse rides, zorbing or paragliding at Khajjiar (paid on the spot and priced by operator), boating charges beyond those specified, or entry to attractions not named in your itinerary. You will get the exact inclusion list in writing with your quote before you pay anything.

Absolutely — most travellers do. Add Chamba for the ancient Lakshmi Narayan temples and the Bhuri Singh Museum, Khajjiar if it is not already in your package, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary for forest walks, or Panchpula and Satdhara falls. Many people extend to Dharamshala and McLeodganj on the combo circuit, or open with Amritsar and the Golden Temple on the grand circuit. You can also upgrade to a colonial heritage property, add a night in Khajjiar itself rather than day-tripping, or adjust the pace and vehicle size for your group. A small advance confirms your room and vehicle; the balance is due before departure. Peak periods are the tightest booking windows: April–June, the Christmas–New Year week, and long weekends sell out well in advance, and cancellation windows tighten as the date approaches. If the Khajjiar road is closed by snow or a lake outing is called off for weather on your date, we substitute the itinerary and refund the unused cost — that closure is never charged to you.
